Biography:
Kerry Wallis is Of Counsel at Phillips Jessner LLP. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego, where she was editor-in-chief of the The San Diego Law Review and named Order of the Coif. Prior to starting law school, Ms. Wallis taught English in Bangkok, Thailand. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Los Angeles, summa cum laude, where she double majored in Communications Studies and Psychology, receiving departmental honors.
Ms. Wallis's practice covers a broad range of family law areas, including dissolution proceedings, domestic-violence proceedings, child custody, child support, spousal support, modification of support, division of community property, confirmation of separate property, and negotiation of family law disputes.
Ms. Wallis joined Phillips Jessner in 2006 after being an associate at the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, where she participated in diverse litigation matters in federal and state court, representing large corporations and public entities. Prior to working at Morrison & Foerster LLP, Ms. Wallis served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Kelleher, United States District Judge, Central District of California.
Ms. Wallis is admitted to practice in California, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
