Taryn Jacobson

Biography

Taryn Jacobson is an Associate at Phillips Jessner LLP. She received her J.D. in 2021 from USC Gould School of Law, where she was a senior content editor of the Review of Law and Social Justice Journal. Ms. Jacobson’s Note, A New Textualism Perspective: Does Abolishing Inanity As An Affirmative Defense Violate the Fourteenth and Eight Amendments?, was published in the RLSJ, Volume 30. During her senior year at USC Gould, Ms. Jacobson participated in the Immigration Appellate Clinic, where she represented a client facing deportation. The Ninth Circuit reversed the Board of Immigration’s decision to deport Ms. Jacobson’s client based solely on Ms. Jacobson’s opening brief.

Ms. Jacobson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2017 from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Ms. Jacobson joined Phillips Jessner in 2023 after being a litigation associate at the firm of Greenberg Glusker, where she participated in a diverse range of litigation matters in federal and state court.

Ms. Jacobson is admitted to practice in California.
